１「愚妄人的恼怒立时显露，惟精明人能忍辱藏羞。」（箴12:16）
A fool's anger is known at once, But a prudent man conceals shame.(Prov.12:16)
２「我亲爱的弟兄们，这是你们所知道的，但你们各人要快快的听，慢慢的说，慢慢的动怒；因为人的忿怒并不成就神的义。」（雅1:19-20）
You know this, my beloved brothers; but let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; For the wrath of man does not accomplish the righteousness of God.(Jas.1:19-20)
３「暴怒的人挑启争端；不轻易发怒的人止息纷争。」（箴15:18）
A wrathful man stirs up contention, But he who is slow to anger quiets strife.(Prov.15:18)
４「不轻易发怒的，胜过勇士；治服己灵的，强如取城。」（箴16:32）
He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; And he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city.(Prov.16:32)
５「人有明智就不轻易发怒；不追究人的过失，便是自己的荣耀。」（箴19:11）
The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, And it is his glory to overlook a transgression.(Prov.19:11)
６「耶和华对该隐说，你为什么发怒？你为什么垂下脸来？你若行得好，岂不仰起脸来么？你若行得不好，罪就伏在门前；他要恋慕你，但你必须管辖他。」（创4:6-7）
And Jehovah said to Cain, Why are you angry, and why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and his desire is for you, but you must rule over him.(Ge.)
７「所以你在祭坛前献礼物，若想起你的弟兄向你怀怨，就要把礼物留在坛前，先去与你的弟兄和好，然后来献礼物。」（太5:23-24）
Therefore if you are offering your gift at the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you, Leave your gift there before the altar, and first go and be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.(Mt.5:23-24)
８「生气却不要犯罪，不可含怒到日落，」（弗4:26）
Be angry, yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your indignation,(Eph.4:26)
９「一切苦毒、恼恨、忿怒、喧嚷、毁谤，同一切的恶毒，都要从你们中间除掉。你们要以恩慈相待，心存慈怜，彼此饶恕，正如神在基督里饶恕了你们一样。」（弗4:31-32）
Let all bitterness and anger and wrath and clamor and evil speaking be removed from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ also forgave you.(Eph.4:31-32)
１０「所以，我愿男人无忿怒，无争论，举起虔圣的手，随处祷告。」（提前2:8）
I desire therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and reasoning;(1Ti.2:8)
